To meet the need for sustainable energy we have developed key expertise in the storage, blending and distribution of green fuels including bio-ethanol and bio-diesel and vegetable oils used in power generation.
Green and clean
In some of the most significant bulk liquid contracts in recent years, Simon has entered into agreements for the storage and handling of raw materials and products for two of the UK's largest bio-diesel facilities, which is built on Simon’s land at Seal Sands. We are also providing the site and technical support for a second bio-diesel plant at Immingham that will have an initial production capacity of 100,000 tonnes per year. |
Complementing these activities, we have developed advanced techniques for blending bio-fuels with conventional hydrocarbons during road tanker loading. |
