Simon Storage: Bulk Liquid & Gas Network

Mannheim

Mannheim

Simon’s two facilities in the major inland port of Mannheim occupy a strategic location on the River Rhine, Western Europe’s principal inland waterway, providing links to industrial centres in Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy.

The terminals are fully integrated with regional petrochemical and petroleum activities and also provide efficient access to the major deep water coastal ports of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Antwerp. The terminals are configured with the flexibility to ship and receive, tranship and blend products via barge, rail and truck.

Simon’s Mannheim facilities handle a broad suite of products for its customers, from petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, heating oils and alternative fuels and petrochemical to chemical products such as solvents, resins and various polymer intermediates.

The terminals offer 134 tanks, both stainless steel and solid steel, most with dedicated import / export systems. To meet specific product requirements tanks may be heated, lined, or equipped with air-injection, nitrogen blanketing systems or recirculation devices for product homogenization.

Development land is available both for expansion of the existing services and as a location for new projects for specific client requirements.

History and development

The Mannheim facilities have a long and successful track record of supplying bespoke storage, handling, blending and distribution services across the complete spectrum of the chemical, petroleum and petrochemical industries
