The terminal’s strategic location at one of the few deepwater ports in that part of Ireland make it a focal point for the distribution of oil and chemical products throughout the country.
Many of the terminal’s particular skills have been developed to support this position – and this has been backed up by major investment.
The terminal is one of Ireland’s major storage and distribution points for road fuels. Investment here has included new road tanker loading and blending facilities to meet the most stringent vapour containment requirements.
The terminal also handles solvent drumming and packaging, supplying Ireland's pharmaceutical sector. Investment here has included blending and packaging facilities to provide specialized products and blends to Irish industry.
