automation
In a continuing drive to offer the highest levels of efficiency, safety and customer service, Simon has developed a wealth of expertise in upgrading, refurbishing and automating a wide variety of bulk liquid and gas handling facilities. Having fine tuned these skills in our own facilities, we also offer this engineering and automation expertise to external customers who wish to upgrade, expand or streamline their own infrastructure.
Simon Projects, a highly competent in-house engineering division, has built up many years of experience in design, planning, procurement and integration as well as implementation of automation hardware and software solutions. This expertise is underpinned by a thorough understanding of the hardware, software and management capabilities required to deliver such projects.
instant account data
TASCS (Terminal Automation Stock Control System) can be accessed from any computer via a web browser over the internet. The link allows customers to place dispatch and delivery requests remotely and to access truly accurate product reconciliation information in near real time. Account information can also be accessed via PDA or smart phone.
swipe card safety
Road entry/exit points and site supervisory systems are linked with TASCS. This ensures every delivery and dispatch must tally with the customers' pre-programmed requests. Access to automated road loading facilities is controlled by swipe card and the driver; vehicle, order and load quantities are monitored and recorded in TASCS to provide near real time stock accounting information.
flexible
TASCS is a highly adaptable package that is capable of accounting for a wide variety of products and transportation methods, including oils, chemicals, potable liquids, gases, and vegetable oils, delivered or dispatched by road, rail or sea. In addition to straightforward loading and discharging, TASCS will automate much of the data entry involved with more complex requirements, ie blending in-tank and on-vehicle, methylation and drumming.
reports
TASCS has comprehensive reporting capabilities, including:
• load/discharge documents
• stock movements and level position at any point in time
• daily/period end reconciliations
• HMRC VAT & excise schedules
• customer and HMRC warehouse stock returns
Reports can be manually generated on demand and electronically transmitted to customers via email, EDI or FTP.
