Our terminals in the North East of England boast easy access to major road, rail and shipping routes for receipt and onward distribution of product for clients operating throughout the UK and Europe.
Immingham Storage, for example, offers flexible tankage and pipeline configurations with fast transfer rates, as well as a prime location adjacent to two of the UK’s largest oil refineries.
We have substantial experience in handling a variety of products for the oil industry, including conventional hydrocarbon and alternative fuels. We have developed key expertise in the storage,
blending and distribution of green fuels, including bioethanol and biodiesel and vegetable oils used in power generation.
Our UK terminals comply with all legislation relating to the secure storage and handling of hazardous cargo, including COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards).
Our outstanding health and safety performance has been recognised by RoSPA. Improvements to operating and safety standards
identified by the Process Safety Leadership Group post Buncefield, and promoted by the Process Safety Forum, continue to be applied across the Simon Storage Group as required.
